God's silences are not synonymous with indifference. Jesus spoke to the Father while the Canaanite woman spoke to Jesus.

She said to herself: I refuse to pretend I never met you. One word from you will be enough.

So here is JESUS, who does not want to be noticed, but who is called out by a woman who wants or needs to be noticed.
