Wa lalapo light of the world! Mwangaluka descendant of Abraham! May the LORD strengthen you and may angels precede you. Your departures and arrivals are blessed (Psalms 121:8, Deuteronomy 28:6)! Joseph's brothers told Jacob their father that he had been eaten by a fierce beast (Genesis 37:33). I wondered what kind of ferocious beasts Joseph might have encountered on his way? Wasn't that path that he and his brothers used to take? I don't have the answer, but I this I know : sooner or later the truth will come out. No lie is eternal, only the truth is eternal. Let nothing take you away from CHRIST.
I suggest we share our prayer topics. 🙂 Write me and I'll post yours. This week I am praying for those who have a loved one, colleague or neighbor with a mental illness. How about you?
Those who surround the mentally ill are collateral victims of the illness. They are the ones who live and work with the patient, allowing him or her to maintain a social life. They are the ones who are called in case of emergency. They face the stares, questions, discomfort and contempt of people. They help the doctors and caregivers to understand who the patient is. I invite you to pray for them:
Those who live in denial,
Those who have a loved one who refuses to be treated, accompanied or helped.
Those who live in the prison of rejection, fear, shame, guilt or isolation.
Those who are physically, emotionally, and financially exhausted.
Those who feel that no matter what they do, it is never enough.
Those who need help and support.
Those who need to change their habits, learn to do things differently, slowly.
Those who need to move away to protect.
Those who have to explain to a child why a brother, sister, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, behaves strangely.
Those who do not believe that GOD can heal.
Those who no longer pray.
Those who are angry with GOD.
Those to whom the HOLY SPIRIT says your faith, your kindness, your patience, your prayers, are not in vain.
The list is not exhaustive. Pray as and as long as the HOLY SPIRIT leads you.
I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people. (1 Timothy 2:1, NIV)
Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter. (Proverbs 24:11, NIV)
** Wa lalapo = good morning in Oshiwambo (Namibia)

Not to be confused with the expression prayer by the SPIRIT or prayer led by the SPIRIT (the manner and the subjects).
