1001 Prayer topics : #8 - Prison guards

Fofo saderdoce royal! May our LORD do good to yours. May his peace be in your house. May his word be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalms 119:105). May he establish your steps in his word and let no iniquity have dominion over you (Psalms 119:113).

2 Corinthians 7:2, NIV : " Make room for us in your hearts. We have wronged no one, we have corrupted no one, we have exploited no one. "

Galates 6:2, NIV : " Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of CHRIST."

Proverbs 6 : 12-15, NIV : "A trouble maker and a villain, who goes about with a corrupt mouth, who winks maliciously with his eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers, who plots evil with deceit in his heart— he always stirs up conflict. Therefore disaster will overtake him in an instant; he will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy. "

Prison guards are in charge of guarding, monitoring, and caring for prisoners, and enforcing penalties for violations of prison regulations. They are also responsible for the security of the prison and the property therein. They must prevent disturbances, suicides, assaults, and escapes by supervising inmates' activities and tasks. They must also prevent inmates from harming themselves or committing suicide. They are the ones who inspect visitors, prisoners, cells, and common areas of the prison. They may be authorized to read and check any mail received by prisoners. Occasionally, they transport and accompany prisoners to other establishments, such as hospitals and courts.

This morning, I propose a prayer for prison guards:

  • For those just starting out, those in transition and those soon to retire.

  • For those who love their job and those who hate it.

  • For those who are ashamed to tell their friends and family that they are prison guards.

  • For those struggling to pay their bills, their children's schooling and healthcare.

  • For those who would like to change professions or find another job.

  • For those who are where GOD wants them to be and those who aren't.

  • For those who are daily insulted, threatened, intimidated by prisoners.

  • For those who daily hear insults, insanities and curses.

  • For those who are honest and for those who are not.

  • For those who are in CHRIST and for those who are not.

  • For those whom the devil claims, oppresses, seduces and slowly kills.

Let us pray in tongues and with understanding. Intercede is serving GOD through our prayers. Ask the HOLY SPIRIT to inspire your words. Let us pray:

  • For the greatest number to receive salvation, be strengthened in the truth and fulfill their destiny.

  • For the healing of souls (healing of wounds)

  • That beyond self-esteem, the esteem of GOD may be shared.

  • May those who are in CHRIST receive a new anointing, and may their spiritual gifts be amplified.

  • May GOD guide the steps of those who are looking for a new job or a new professional direction.

  • May the greatest number receive wisdom, instruction, intelligence and discernment to better manage and multiply their income.

  • May what edifies, instructs and is worthy of praise be the object of their thoughts. In this way, their words, attitudes, actions, habits, characters and lifestyles will change.

  • May they be firm and incorruptible in the face of temptation.

Let us ask and command

  • Ask for mercy for those willing to repent.

  • Order an end to oppression.

  • May the LORD ruin, expose, strike and break those who trade with the devil. Let their fall be sudden, brutal and without remedy.

Pray in tongues and in understanding, as our LORD will lead you. Someone needs your prayer. I'll be happy to share your prayer topics 🙂 Write to me, and I'll publish yours.
