Names, first names and nicknames are messages

좋은 아침입니다 (joeun achimimnida) family of CHRIST! Good morning image of GOD! A person's character is expressed in how they treat their staff, servants, and partners. " Blessed be GOD, the Father of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in CHRIST !" (Ephesians 1:3, NKJV) Regardless of the attitude and words of men, never forget that you are in CHRIST, you are blessed.

" For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, And her salvation as a lamp that burns. The Gentiles shall see your righteousness, And all kings your glory. You shall be called by a new name, Which the mouth of the LORD will name. You shall also be a crown of glory In the hand of the LORD, And a royal diadem In the hand of your GOD." (Isaiah 62:1-3, NKJV)

" Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the GOD of peace will be with you." (Philippians 4:8-9, NKJV)

In the Bible, names, surnames and nicknames are indicators of origins, circumstances of birth, plans of GOD, promises made by GOD, promises made to GOD, prayers addressed to GOD, words declared by GOD or by men, one or more important events, exploits, complaints addressed to GOD, differentiations, recognitions, positions, responsibilities, feelings, aspirations, etc. In short, names and nicknames are messages: addressed to GOD, to creation, to men or to oneself . They can therefore carry blessings and curses.

Names, surnames, and nicknames are important. However, they are not more important than GOD, His Word, the blood of JESUS, and our choices . The devil has among his workers people whose names, surnames, and nicknames are beautiful and good. GOD has workers whose surnames and surnames mean unpleasant or insignificant things. He has workers who in the past had nicknames inspired by demons. Glory be to Him, He has given them a new identity. In accordance with His word, "Therefore if anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creation. Old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new ." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

We don't choose our last name or our first name(s). Some will tell me that it is possible to change them. My answer is, it is only possible in a few countries, under certain conditions. Nicknames are freely chosen and easily changed. Even a child can reject a nickname they don't like. Because names, first names, and nicknames are messages, it is therefore important, as much as possible, to choose them well. GOD does not allow himself to be called by a name that dishonors him, by a name that signifies a curse, or by a name that confuses him with the devil. We should do the same, as far as it depends on us.

Dear parents, can you explain your children's first names? Dear parents-to-be, what is the meaning or message conveyed by the first name(s) you choose? Dear newlyweds, adults, and teenagers, what messages do your nicknames convey? Dear teenagers, is the nickname you give yourself on social media praiseworthy ? What virtue does the people around you learn from the way you call yourself?

Before you answer, get out of cultural ties (traditions), worldly habits and carnal reactions. Just because a nickname is popular doesn't mean it has to be yours. Just because a name is common in your family doesn't mean it has to be your child's. If your last name means devil and you have the option to give your child another last name, why don't you do it?

I am one of those who believe that (married) couples should not give each other nicknames lightly. For example, baby, sweet potato, and sugar. Just because a nickname is affectionate or original does not necessarily mean it is good or approved by GOD. We all agree that it takes maturity, love, respect, and a good relationship with GOD to build and maintain a good marriage and family. How do the meanings of nicknames such as baby, sweet potato, and sugar contribute?

How is it virtuous to call a person, an image of GOD, for whom JESUS has his life, sweet potato? Are there no better nicknames? How does GOD, our FATHER, call us? There is absolutely no obligation to choose a nickname or a first name mentioned in the Bible. But still, there is a standard to have! Let each one do according to his convictions and the inner testimony he receives from the HOLY SPIRIT.

Dear parents, you are prophets to your children. Who, I remind you, are precious to the LORD. How can you allow yourselves to give them nicknames that mean curses? I can't believe that some parents, so-called Christians, allow themselves to nickname their children: sorcerer, magician, snake (cursed animal), little mermaid, little husband, elder , and so on. Seriously, who does this benefit? GOD or the devil?

Dear grandparents, you've had your time. Don't impose your names and nicknames on your grandchildren.

Dear parents, be interested in the roles your children play when they participate in shows. Be interested in the scripts, the words that will be spoken. 🙂 Not everyone can have the best role, not everyone will play the role of JESUS. But still, be awake! After the rehearsal and the show, pray for them. Overturn the words that need to be overturned. 🙂 Dear film actors, comedians and humorists, what is true for children is also true for you. Dear brothers and sisters, former workers of the devil, now that you are in CHRIST, no longer respond to nicknames that refer to your former way of life .

If your nickname is not virtuous or does not correspond to your aspirations, pray and change it. If your name or first name is not virtuous, pray. Neutralize the effects of this name or first names and invoke the name above every name (Philippians 2:9-11). Deliver yourself from the limitations of your last name, first names or nicknames. You may not be able to change your first and last name, but you can neutralize the curses attached to this name or first name . It is your responsibility to proclaim the blessings attached to the name of JESUS CHRIST over your life and your descendants (natural, adopted, spiritual), present and future. He has given us his authority and power so that we can use them well.
