Pialli, abundance! Cualli Tlanecic, prosperity!
" For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have. Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. The goal is equality, as it is written: "The one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little." (2 Corinthians 8:12-13, NKJV)

❖ (Psaumes 104: 13-14, NKJV) : " He waters the hills from His upper chambers; The earth is satisfied with the fruit of Your works. He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, And vegetation for the service of man, That he may bring forth food from the earth. "
❖ (1 Timothy 4:4-5, NKJV) : " For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. "
❖ ( Deuteronomy 8: 17-18, Segond 21) : " "Take care not to say in your heart, 'It is my own strength and the power of my own hand that have enabled me to acquire this wealth.' Remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the strength to gain them, so that he may confirm, as he does today, the covenant he swore to your ancestors."
Having food and drink is a blessing. Eating wholesome food as part of a balanced meal is a blessing. Having clean drinking water is a blessing. Having enough to give to those in need is a privilege. Managing one’s resources wisely is a sign of wisdom. Relying on GOD is a sign of humility. To thank Him is to be grateful. To commend your meals to Him is to be prudent. I encourage you to pray before eating. Below are 8 examples to inspire you. Do not turn them into mere recitations, but into sincere words addressed to our FATHER.
Prayer 1
FATHER, thank you for this meal. May it be sanctified and be good for my body. Amen
Prayer 2
Thank you, FATHER, for this meal. May it be holy for our bodies, cleansed of all physical and spiritual impurities. May we eat without wasting, content with what we need. May our homes honour you, proclaim your praise and bear witness to JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
Prayer 3
FATHER, thank you for this meal. Thank you for the hands that prepared it, carried it, and helped bring it to our table. May this meal be sanctified and do our bodies good. Blessed be the home that welcomes us and those who welcome our loved ones in the various places and countries where they are. Amen.
Prayer 4
FATHER, thank you for this meal. Physically, it is meagre and sparse. But by your power, its nutrients will be multiplied within our bodies. For you are the source of life. Our lives are in your hands, not in physical food. Sanctify this meal and keep our bodies in good health. We especially commend to you children, pregnant women and the elderly. Whatever the contamination of the soil, we declare this meal sanctified and fit to eat. In the name of Jesus-Christ, Amen.
Prayer 5
Thank you, FATHER, for this meal. I don’t feel like eating it, but I know my body needs it. Help me to eat what I need—or what is enough—so that my body may recover quickly. Healing is the gift of those who believe. Whether through a miracle, through science (medicines; operations) or through food, it is You who heals. I therefore give You glory in advance, for I know that You watch over my diet. Amen.
Prayer 6
FATHER, glory be to you for the food and drink we have in abundance today. Thank you for your love, your faithfulness and your presence by our side. We present this meal to you, the hands with which you have given it to us, and the home in which we eat. Remember our loved ones wherever they are. We sanctify their meals and nullify any plan of poisoning, bewitchment, drunkenness and drugs. In JESUS CHRIST, Amen.
Prayer 7
FATHER, thank you for this day and this meal. We acknowledge and proclaim your faithfulness, for every day you provide for our needs. We place in your hands the food and drink that we and our children will consume during this stay. Help us to exercise discernment and contentment. Do not let us fall into drunkenness, gluttony or overindulgence. Grant us the grace to make good use of our resources, to always have enough to give to those in need, and to contribute so that others may also have enough. In JESUS CHRIST, we are and will remain. Amen.
Prayer 8
FATHER, thank you for this meal, our family and our friends. May this meal be a blessing to our bodies, cleansing them of any physical or spiritual impurities. Strengthen those who suffer from allergies, ailments or medical conditions. Thank you for the life, presence and contribution of every person here today. It is a blessing. Blessed be, abundantly, the home that welcomes us. Remember those who have given of their time so that we may all be here. May there never be a lack of food and drink in their homes. In the HOLY SPIRIT we commend this time. We forbid any discussion at this table that does not glorify You. By the blood and authority of JESUS, we destroy any attempt at destruction, disruption or confusion during this time of fellowship (or celebration). We sanctify and bless the meals of those who, for medical, safety, legal or professional reasons, cannot eat with us. May Your joy and peace be with them. You have blessed our arrivals and our departures. May Your angels accompany us on our journeys.
