Is there anything in your house that should be destroyed?

Sohb bekheyr house of grace! Azul pillar! Not only the enemy is observing you. Those for whom you are a model are also watching you. When facing certain situations, remember that it's not all about you. Remember that with authority comes responsibility. Don't be a stumbling block to newborns and those weak in the faith. May GOD show you the habits you need to correct. Let the blessing of Levi be your portion (Deuteronomy 33:8-11). The LORD divided the sea so that the Jewish people could cross (Exodus 14:16-21). Then he closed the sea so that the people could never go back (Exodus 14:26-27). May you never go backwards. May what dominated you yesterday never control or influence you again.

" But thus you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire." (Deuteronomy 7:5, NKJV)
" I will utter My judgments Against them concerning all their wickedness, Because they have forsaken Me, Burned incense to other gods, And worshiped the works of their own hands." (Jeremiah 1:16, NKJV)

Three years ago, in the article l'article Do Not Accept All Gifts, GOD urged us to use discernment and consult Him before accepting gifts or offerings. He also encouraged us to consult Him before giving gifts. I categorize them into four groups:

  • Good gifts or money from well-intentioned people (Proverbs 21:14, Proverbs 18:16, Proverbs 17:8, Acts 20:35, Galatians 6:10).

  • Bad gifts or money from well-intentioned people or with benevolent intentions (Leviticus 26:1, Deuteronomy 16:21-22, Leviticus 20:6-8).

  • Purchased, offered, or passed down (inheritance) in ignorance.

  • Money or objects considered abominations, dedicated to idolatry.

  • Objects specifically designed for occult activities.

  • Trapped gifts: intended to activate curses, cause distraction, stir or strengthen fleshly desires, simulate a spiritual gift, a word of knowledge, or a prophecy. Often, these are initially good gifts or those of good appearance but have curses declared over them to trap people.

  • Dangerous or toxic products.

  • Bad gifts or money from ill-intentioned people or with malicious intentions (Proverbs 23:6-8, Leviticus 26:1, Proverbs 21:14, Proverbs 18:16, Proverbs 25:14, Ezekiel 8:9-10, Deuteronomy 7:5, Deuteronomy 16:21-22, Leviticus 20:6-8).

  • Objects of abomination or dedicated to idolatry, cursed money or objects, dangerous or toxic products purchased, offered, or passed down (inheritance) knowingly.

  • Trapped gifts: intended to activate curses, cause distraction, stir or strengthen fleshly desires, simulate a spiritual gift, a word of knowledge, or a prophecy. Often, these are initially good gifts or those of good appearance but have curses declared over them to trap people.

  • Any object dedicated to the devil, demons, idols, idolatry, occult practices, ancestor worship, or the promotion of sexual immorality is cursed. As far as it depends on us, these objects are to be destroyed.

  • Good gifts, from well-intentioned people, but intended for others (2 Corinthians 9:8-12, Proverbs 19:17, Malachi 3:10).

  • GOD makes us channels and instruments of blessings.

Never feel obliged to accept a gift, even if it's just a free coffee or chocolates. It's important to have discernment when it comes to gifts, money, decorative objects, jewelry, clothing, and household linens. Ignorance is one thing; denial and disobedience are another. Some people buy objects out of ignorance, not knowing that these objects are an abomination to the LORD. Others deceive themselves and allow themselves to be deceived by those around them, claiming to promote a culture or preserve a heritage. Honestly, who benefits from this? What interest would a person, especially a Christian, have in promoting a culture or a work of art that promotes a demon?

The devil and impure spirits are not gentlemen (1 Peter 5:8, John 10:10, John 8:44). They are constantly seeking opportunities to lie, curse, trap, blind, seduce, steal, kill, and destroy.

GOD is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Malachi 3:6, Hebrews 13:8). GOD is holy, and He wants us to be holy (Leviticus 11:45, Leviticus 20:26, 1 Peter 1:16, Leviticus 20:7, 1 Thessalonians 4:3-8). What GOD hated yesterday, He hates today, and He will hate tomorrow. He eternally hates objects dedicated to idols and the promotion of what He condemns. He demanded their destruction yesterday; He demands it today, and He will demand it tomorrow. GOD hates idolatry, and there is no excuse for idolatry.

The LORD is GOD; besides Him, there is no other GOD (Psalms 100:3). We worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). His word is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalms 119:105).

We do not come to CHRIST to ask Him to adapt to our cultures and conveniences. We come to CHRIST to receive from Him the ability to walk in newness of life. We are not ambassadors of our cultures within the Kingdom. We are ambassadors of the Kingdom within our cultures. We are not called to promote a culture, but to promote CHRIST within our cultures. It is written, "Do not despise prophecies. But test all things; hold fast to what is good; abstain from every form of evil." (1 Thessalonians 5:20-22). We must examine all things through the Word, the inner witness, the counsel of GOD, and, if necessary, the advice of other Christians.

A friend of mine got married three years ago. One day, while we were chatting in her living room, the HOLY SPIRIT drew my attention to an African statue representing a couple. I asked her where the statue came from, what it represented, and why it was in her living room. She replied that the statue was a wedding gift from her husband's cousin to wish them a happy marriage. I told her that the statue looked like an idol, that the inner witness I had was not good, and that, in my opinion, they should get rid of it. I advised her to discuss it with her husband and pray with him for confirmation. She responded, "Don't worry, my house is covered by the blood of JESUS and my marriage is blessed by the LORD." I insisted, reminding her of verse five of chapter seven of the book of Deuteronomy. Unfortunately, she did not follow my advice. Two years later, after two miscarriages and two instances of her husband's infidelity, while she was cleaning her house, GOD reminded her of our conversation.

One day, a brother told me that for the past two weeks, his eight-year-old son had been having nightmares every time he slept in his own room. However, he never had nightmares when he slept in the parental bedroom. I told him that he and his wife probably prayed often in their bedroom. I asked if they had prayed in their son's room. He replied that they had. Then, I asked what the HOLY SPIRIT had told them. He said, "He told my wife to clean the boy's room. She did, but so far, nothing has changed." I suggested that they sleep in their son's room while playing praise music and authoritative prayers on loop. Reminding him of Deuteronomy 7:5, I added, "Then inspect the room with your wife. Ask GOD about his toys and the designs on his clothes. If there are posters of cartoon characters on the walls, remove them and replace them with a Bible verse." A week later, his wife called to tell me they had followed my advice. The HOLY SPIRIT had told them to destroy all objects with the image of Spider-Man. Since then, their son has been sleeping peacefully.

Some might say they have had statues in their home for years and that it doesn’t matter. Others might say that having toys and clothes with images of Spider-Man, the Little Mermaid, or Goku has no apparent influence on their children's sleep. Some would even go so far as to say that these couples lacked anointing and should have asked people to come and pray in their house. My response is simple: read the Word, study and meditate on the Word. Then, ask the HOLY SPIRIT. The truth sets you free. Be freed from false reasoning.

To you as well, I offer this response: read the Word, study the Word, meditate on the Word, and consult the HOLY SPIRIT. You may not have objects to destroy in your house, but is that the case for your loved ones? Are there any in your office, your restaurant, your shop, your car, in front of your door, or on your balcony? Do not let ignorance and disobedience allow demons to influence your life.
