Kalimera (καλημέρα) she who gives birth to prophets! Günaydın the one who raises princes! Let the oil be poured on your head and dew on your field. Be firm in the truth and reject the mixture. There is no friendship between eagles and ravens. GOD will give you clear directions through his SPIRIT and his Word. May peace, love, faith, and grace be given to you (Ephesians 6:23-24).

7. Give us our daily bread
❖ JESUS answered, “ It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word [Rhema, Strong #4487, Greek] that comes from the mouth of GOD. (Matthew 4:4, NIV).
❖ So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD. (Deuteronomy 8:3, NKJV)
❖ 1 In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with GOD, and the Word was GOD. 2 He was in the beginning with GOD. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (John 1:1-4, NKJV)
Bread was the staple food of the Hebrews. Bread is a symbol of meals, food, sustenance, effort to support oneself (earning daily bread), resources, needs, and a gift from GOD (manna given by GOD in the desert). Eating bread was synonymous with having a meal. To have bread in abundance meant to be in abundance or financially well off. The bread was made of either wheat, barley, spelt, millet, or a mixture of each (Ezekiel 4:9)
We are tripartite beings: spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Hebrews 4:12). The word is the food of the spiritual body. The soul is nourished by feelings and reasoning cultivated by words and actions. The first bread we need is spiritual bread: the word. Either it nourishes or it poisons. It either invigorates or kills. It either builds or destroys. Either it rejoices or it saddens. Either it brings clarity or it brings confusion.
You can only give what you have. The word of the devil is the bread of death: a poison (John 8:44). The devil is the father of lies (John 8:44). There is no truth in him (John 8:44). He comes only to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). The word of GOD is the bread of life (Matthew 4:4, Deuteronomy 8:3). GOD is the origin of life and in him is the truth. JESUS, the Truth, is the bread of life (John 6:35). He is the Word of GOD (Revelation 19:13), the one in whom all the will of the FATHER is found.
After the arrest of JESUS, the Apostle Peter was recognized three times by the way he spoke (Mark 14: 67-70). Our words reveal who we are (character, convictions, thoughts, reasoning, ideas, opinions, feelings, values, beliefs). Our words should reflect CHRIST (Ephesians 4:29, Colossians 4:6).
Inspired by the HOLY SPIRIT, Moses told us [...] man lives by everything that comes from the mouth of the LORD. (Deuteronomy 8:3, LSG). Everything that comes out of the mouth of the LORD is everything that GOD says, no matter how he says it. GOD speaks to us in different ways: audibly, through his word, teachings, the voice of the HOLY SPIRIT, thoughts, dreams, visions, events, through a person, through prayer, music, a movie, and in other ways. In all that GOD says, there is the revelation of his word, recommendations, advice, directives, strategies, prohibitions, provisions, blessings, declarations, deliverances, miracles, wonders, and healings.
When tempted by the devil, JESUS replied, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of GOD." (Matthew 4:4, S21) The Greek word for word is Rhema [Strong's #4487, Greek]. It is the same word used by the Apostle Paul in Romans 10:17 "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing comes from the word of CHRIST." A Rhema is a word, a revelation, an encouragement, or a promise that GOD gives you personally. GOD confirms a Rhema by the inner testimony. Thus, referring to Deuteronomy 8:3, JESUS specifies that Man will live by every specific word received from GOD.
The devil tempted JESUS in the desert with the word (Matthew 4:11). He never denied that JESUS is the SON of the FATHER. His goal was to push JESUS to act outside the will of the FATHER. He wanted to cause JESUS to rely on himself, to use his gifts, talents, resources, and authority as he wished. JESUS did not fall into his trap. But, if we rejoice without understanding the lesson, we will fall. We must not just know the Word, we must understand it, cultivate it and live it. It is impossible to do this without real fellowship (communion).
Three elements are crucial to the body's good health: diet, physical exercise, and rest. The diet must be adapted, varied, and balanced. Milk is the food for newborns and fortified cereals for infants. But what about adults, athletes, soldiers, pregnant women, and elderly people? Our dietary needs are not fixed. No matter how delicious your favorite food is, eating it every day could make you sick. It is good to eat vegetables, but eating only vegetables is not good for your health. Excess is as dangerous as a deficiency. JESUS once told me: " I am the Word made flesh. I am from the beginning. I want you to intercede, prophesy, and teach. I want you to teach all my Word; not just the New Testament, what seems important or obvious to you. I want you to teach everything you know. I want you to talk about your victories and your failures. I want you to speak to everyone I send to you, not only to those who look like you."
GOD has a provision for every season, a solution for every problem, healing for every disease, a deliverance for every oppression, a message, and a blessing for every person. Sometimes we ask for prosperity, in response, he gives us intelligence, ideas, and opportunities (to sow and work). We ask for courage, in response, He increases our level of love. We ask for blessings, in response, he prepares us today so that tomorrow we can receive them, keep them and pass them on. He meets our needs daily in many ways. When we say, " Give us this day our daily bread, " we are not saying, "Show us what you have given, lead us to what you have prepared, and prepare us for what you want to give."
