GOD's vengeance is exercised in justice. So, to leave vengeance (judgment) and retribution to him means: to appeal to justice, to ask for his intervention, to submit to him and benefit from his vengeance. In other words, to obtain judgment and retribution in our favor. This retribution includes healing and restoration of the soul, and measures of anointing, grace, favor and authority.

There are at least 21 reasons to forgive. The list below is neither exhaustive nor exclusive.

Abandon resentment regardless of merit and repentance.

GOD wants you to forgive. He will avenge you.

Forgiveness is a unilateral and unconditional decision. Reconciliation is a mutual and conditional decision (Amos 3:3).

Forgiveness is a decision. Healing and restoration are processes. Free from the offender, the offense and the consequences.
